Play to learn

We passionately believe that learning to play music should be fun!
That’s why play is at the heart of our curriculum – we use interactive games, group activities and milestone-based achievements to help our students make progress and develop their skills.
It’s also why we teach music using popular songs that our students already know and love. There’s nothing quite like being able to perform your favourite tunes to your family – even after just one or two lessons!

Progress matters

We don’t stop at simply building confidence – we help our students develop genuine musicianship which can turn into a lifelong passion and even career path.
Our curriculum is structured with regular milestones, helping students form a sense of achievement and empowering them to track their learning and development. It also helps families get involved, too.
Making genuine progress is why our lessons are focused on individual instruments. We’ve found that small groups learning the same instrument together from a professional musician make the most progress towards developing their playing ability.

Performance is key

Music is something that can be shared with everyone!
We encourage all our students towards performing the music they are learning – empowering them to share their progress with their families, friends and teachers.
It’s a powerful way to build their confidence, impact their wellbeing and develop additional skills beyond playing music. And most of all, it’s loads of fun!

Professional teaching

We don’t compromise when it comes to our music teachers – each one is a carefully-selected, active professional musician, who is passionate about sharing their love of music with children.
It’s why we’re called Front Row Music. Children get to learn to play as if they are on the front row of a gig or at a music festival – because that’s where our tutors spend most of their time outside of lessons!

FAQs

Yes. We partner directly with schools to deliver fun, engaging music lessons that fit around the school day.

Not at all. Our lessons are designed to be accessible for complete beginners, with plenty of room to progress as their confidence and skills grow.

Our lessons are designed for primary school children in Year 1 to Year 6 of all abilities, whether they’re picking up an instrument for the first time or already have some experience. Everything is taught in a fun, supportive way that helps children build confidence while learning to play.

Ukulele – a great starter instrument for children from Year 1 and older, helping them to quickly start playing songs they already know and love, and encouraging progress as they develop new skills.

Guitar – for children in Year 3 and older, the guitar is a natural progression from the ukulele, using the same techniques learned on the ukulele. We love seeing children connect with popular music in a new way through guitar lessons.

Keyboard – for children of all ages, starting in Year 1. Our curriculum is focused on popular songs, and our keyboard lessons offer a route to experience classical music and other styles in the future.

Our tutors are all active professional musicians who go through a rigorous selection process to join our team. Each of our tutors is a dedicated instrument specialist who can share a passion for playing, learning and performing with your children. Equipped with our bespoke curriculum and intensive training, each of our tutors offers your children a front row experience while they are learning and making progress with their chosen instrument.
