We can’t believe the year is out! Which means it’s time for our Summer newsletter!

So what have we been up to this year?

Parliamentary Review

This year we were approached to contribute to the 2019 Parliamentary Review with an article on who we are, what we do, and why we think it works. It’s been a real honour to contribute to the review as it recognises us as experts in our field and has given us an opportunity to vocalise some of the amazing highlights, as well as the potential challenges, that we see day to day in running Front Row Music and putting on our music lessons for our amazing students. You can read our article here: https://www.theparliamentaryreview.co.uk/organisations/front-row-music

Care Homes Sessions

We’ve visited several care homes in the Greater Manchester area, delivering a series of free music therapy-style sessions delivered by our brilliant tutors and some of our amazing students from schools. It’s been fantastic to see some inter-generational music-making, and we’ve had some really encouraging feedback from the residents and the students who helped us deliver the sessions – we couldn’t be more proud of them! Keep your eyes peeled for a blog post on our experiences with these sessions!

Spotlight Sessions

Speaking of proud, just you wait until you see these amazing performances from some of our outstanding students. These children were specially selected by their tutors to experience what it’s like to be a recording artist – we brought them into the Front Row studio to perform their favourite song and have a track, video and interview produced for them to keep forever, as well as being featured on the Front Row Music Youtube channel

We think they’re pretty amazing!

Franchising

We’re thrilled that the Front Row family is growing. We now have a total of 10 franchises – 9 across the UK and 1 in Cape Town, SA. It’s really exciting that our lessons are taking place in more schools than ever before, and there are more and more children getting to learn and have fun playing music with our inspirational tutors. Watch this space for more news!

Practice tips on social media

We’ve started sharing even more useful tips and tricks for home practice on social media. We believe that practising little and often is key, so follow us on social media for more helpful hints and practical info – we’ll be sharing plenty of practice challenges and things to learn over the summer so keep your eyes peeled!
