Welcome to a new term!

Easter has been and gone and Summer is almost within our reach.

This is just a quick update to let you know what’s been going on with Front Row Music, and hopefully provide you with some helpful hints and tips that will get your little rock stars honing their skills and getting the most out of their lessons!

Interview

We went live on BBC Radio Manchester to speak with Mike Sweeney to tell him why we do what we do, and how we do it! You can listen back here (interview starts at 1:45:11):

Reports

We know that seeing progression is really important when you’re sending your children to music lessons with us. So to give you some feedback, we’ll be sending out yearly reports at the end of the term. However, the best way to see how your child is getting on is to keep asking them!

Make sure they’re bringing their music worksheets home and are showing you what they’ve been up to. If they have an instrument at home to practise with, sit with them and see how they get on; get them to give you your own special performance!

Even better, why not get your child to teach you one of their songs and send us a video of the results! The best duo could be featured on this blog. Contact us or tag us on twitter @frontrowlearn.

Care Homes

We’re really excited about the launch of our first Care Home workshop that took place over March. Some of the children we teach in schools, along with some of our brilliant tutors, went to a care home in Marple in order to play music for them and also getting them involved with the joy of music!

We believe music changes lives. We’re delighted to have provided a great opportunity for the children to see how music can make a difference, to give back to the community, and to see how different generations can have fun together. Keep an eye out for our blog about this soon.
